The Amsterdam based Hester Wernert-Rijn stands for technical precision, creative versatility, and a strong foundation in modern hair artistry. Her work combines structured craftsmanship with an intuitive, artistic approach, resulting in looks that feel both refined and expressive.
She began her career at the age of 15 and trained at the renowned Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy in London. There, she established the strong technical foundation that continues to shape her work today, complemented by a lifelong passion for complex braiding techniques.
Throughout her international career as a Hair Artist, Hester Wernert-Rijn has built a diverse portfolio spanning editorial productions, fashion campaigns, and runway shows.
One of the defining stages of her career was Paris Fashion Week, where she worked as an assistant to styling icon Eugene Souleiman for leading designers and creative teams.
A multiple winner of the Dutch “Hairdresser of the Year” award and recipient of the Avant garde Press Award, Hester Wernert-Rijn founded Mogeen Salon and Mogeen Hairschool in Amsterdam in 2007. She also serves as Global Creative Advocate for Authentic Beauty Concept. As an Educator, she shares her expertise through international trainings and masterclasses.
